TagStar incorporates TI chips in new inlays

German RFID inlay maker TagStar Systems GmbH has introduced a new line of inlays featuring the Texas Instruments transponder Tag-it chips. The new TI-enhanced inlays are available in two memory sizes, using both the Tag-it HF-I Standard/Pro with 256 bits memory and, for more advanced RFID applications, the TI Tag-it HF-I Plus chips with 2048 bits memory.

TagStar offers inlays with the Tag-It HF-I Plus chips in three sizes: 40x25mm, 45x42mm and 45x76mm. The inlay provider will also work with customers to design customized inlays of any size to meet special application needs, using any chips from the TI family. [end] 

EarthSearch joins Motorola partner program

Indian company claims 'world's smallest' active RFID tag

Bangalore-based Orizin Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has launched what it claims to be the smallest active RFID tag on the market. According the company, the tags have already been successfully deployed by an Indian telecom company to manage internal assets. Orizin’s new tag measures 26 x 23 x 7.3mm, and offers a read range of 20 meters.

“The optimum size, range and cost [of the tag] are the result of more than 18 months of R&D effort which has gone into development of our active RFID tags and readers,” says Suresh Rao, chief technology officer of Orizin. [end] 

Mobile Aspects gets ISO certification

VeriChip receives NASDAQ warning

WaveMark, LUMEDX team for inventory and billing solution

WaveMark Inc., a provider of RFID-enabled inventory management solutions with a focus on high-value medical supplies, has partnered with LUMEDX, a developer of cardiovascular information and imaging systems.

The companies will integrate WaveMark’s Clinical Inventory Management Solution (CIMS) with LUMEDX’s Apollo Cardiovascular Information System, streamlining charge capturing and patient billing, and helping ensure the proper tracking of high cost inventory.
